Jewelry in Steel
This two-day workshop will focus on the use of steel as a material for jewelry making. The properties of steel are very different from non-ferrous metals. Students will understand and use these unique properties to construct a bracelet in this workshop. We will be forming, forging, scoring, bending, riveting and finishing steel. We will also be making small steel components that may be used as multiples in various forms of jewelry and sculpture.
